Its live you will see others typing when they start. So you could type Blah and in like 5 seconds others will see what you typed

Also If others do anything while you are gone you can see the last 100 chats and see all the added things or changes

the changes you did are good enough for now, at least it is easier to see everything.
On another note: Yei for male Lopunnies! They so deserved an unique gender design like some pokemon out there that have this too (like male and female Unfezant)
